Range Rover Evoque Victoria Beckham Special Edition launched at 2012 Beijing Auto Show

The Range Rover Evoque Special Edition with Victoria Beckham was launched during the 2012 Beijing Auto Show on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in China along with the launch of 2013 Jaguar XJ Ultimate.

As reported by Jaguar Land Rover, Victoria Beckham was appointed as the brand’s Creative Design Executive in July 2010 and worked with the design team for the Special Edition over the past 18 months.

“The design of the Range Rover Evoque has truly captured the hearts of customers worldwide. Working with Victoria, the intention was not to change the fundamental architecture and award-winning design of the Range Rover Evoque.” Land Rover Design Director Gerry McGovern said.

“We wanted to create a Special Edition that extends its character in a new direction through understated, restrained color and detail changes. Both Land Rover and Victoria Beckham are British luxury brands with credibility and global appeal.” McGovern added.

“I am very excited to be working with Land Rover as I have an enormous amount of respect for the brand. I’ve always driven a Range Rover; for me they are the epitome of quality and luxury.” Victoria Beckham said during the launch event.

“The Land Rover design team and I worked together to create mood boards that reflected my love of timeless and classic design, drawing inspiration from yachts, luxury jets and classic cars.” The former ‘Spice Girls’ member added.
