Google Chrome ahead of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 8

Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 8, once the undisputed kind and the holder of world’s most-used browser is no longer on the top of the ranking which it had enjoyed for so many years. Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 8 faces a tough rival in the form of Google Chrome.

According to a Web Analytics firm, StatCounter (who tracks Internet data) Internet Explorer 8′s share of the browser market fell to mere 23.5% in the concluding week of November, surprisingly trailing behind Chrome’s 23.6% and since that triumph Google Chrome hasn’t looked behind and has triggered the button expanding its lead to nearly 25% of the market, compared to Internet Explorer 8′s 22%.

Internet Explorer 8 reflects just one version of Internet Explorer Wide Range as an intensifying number of people (10% by StatCounter’s Analysis) are operating the more updated and stylish version (Internet Explorer 9). Some traditional people are still loving Internet Explorer 7 as well as Internet Explorer 6, which had debuted in 2001. Hence, in combination Internet Explorer still leads the race with a 38.5% share of the global browser market followed and checked closely by Google Chrome in second while Mozilla Firefox sitting happily at the moment at third.

Chrome’s lightning-fast rise and its noteworthy reshapes are a matter of concern for Microsoft’s Internet Explorer. The Google’s browser seems to have battled aggressively this year, after a decade-long hiatus, as search rivalry between arch rivals Google and Microsoft heated up lately to another stage.

It should be noted here that searches made in Internet Explorer default to Bing of Microsoft, while on the other hand Chrome and Firefox are both tied in with Google’s search engine. In a continuous effort, the browser makers have been adding a slew of advance tools and features such as extensions, synchronization, privacy, HTML5 support, and hardware acceleration etc. Google releases a newer version of its Chrome every 6 weeks, however, Google has to be very careful in not irritating the end-user much with updates every now and then.
