iOS 5 Final Will be available for Everyone on October 12



Tim Cook,  Apple’s new CEO, has announced that iOS 5 

would be available to general public on October 12.


iOS 5 was announced at WWDC event this year and since then Eight beta versions have been seeded to developers. It’ll have almost same features which were announced at WWDC with some performance improvements and bug fixes which were rolled out in beta versions.

The beta version was available to only people with developers account which cost $99 for registration but the final version will be available to download on iOS devices for free and anyone can get it.

Here are the some of the features of  iOS 5 :

Notification Center:  Get all your alerts in one place through all new Notification Center by just swiping down from top of any screen. You’ll also get notification from your LockScreen.

iMessage: A new messaging service for all iOS users using iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch just like BBM. Send unlimited messages, photos and videos via 3G or WiFi.

Newstand: A custom Newstand from your favorite publications.

Better Twitter Integration: Twitter is integrated deeply into iOS 5 which makes tweeting more easier. Take photo from your iPad or iPhone and tweet it to your followers.

Improved Camera App: New Camera features which will let you open Camera app directly from LockScreen. Use different gestures to take pictures on the fly.

Other salient features include improved Safari, improved Mail app and most importantly update of your iOS without PC wirelessly.

iOS 5 will be compatible with iPhone 3GS, 4, 

iPad 1, iPad 2, iPod Touch 3G and 4G.
